Comments:

This bike rocks, literally. You can ride over pretty much anything. A little heavy to transport, but its an aluminum fat bike, so expected. Stock mine weighed 35lbs. But its a blast. Snowy streets, bike packing, single track, climbs, night time rail trails, it does it all. Floaty fun ride, but no power loss with stiff frame. Smooth SRAM components, hydraulic brakes are exceptional, dropouts allow for different wheel and tire sizes, nothing rides like it. Showy but not obnoxious since salsa alternated red and blue skewer levers, grip locks and seat collar. I put chrome black and blue crank bros pedals on and it looks great. I am stopped all the time with people ooh-ing and aaah-ing. Great confidence builder for a nub mountain biker. Just tons of fun!!! Get fat!

    Comments:

I picked up my Mukluk 3 a few days ago. It's a big burly monster that rides like a tank. It rolls solid over stuff that ordinarily stops my 29-er or washes it out from under me. My initial ride consisted of 17 miles of previously snowmobiled aka nicely groomed rail-trail that was unusable or unpleasant at best with my 29-er. Previous to acquiring the Mukluk, I would only be able to use plowed roads for several months...pavement trumps sofa surfing any day but now I'm back on my favorite trails! I average around 10,000 miles a year of back woods trails and dirt roads with the occasional connector of pavement in between. I can definitely see this bike as an all year thing and can't wait to use it this spring too
